Summer time fun

June brought our annual salad supper. This year needed to be known as the dessert supper. Scrumptious goodies were had by all. Thanks again to Mary for getting it together and a super big thank you to her sister for allowing us to use her lovely home.

Our chapter has had a great response to our show and share incentive this year. Lots of wonderful things to see at each meeting. To kick off our American Girl Doll Raffle we offered additional incentive tickets for each doll garment brought to the salad supper. What women won't do for a red ticket. Each doll garment was cuter than then last.

First Lanie is going to dance her days away in this darling tutu and leotard brought by A.H. A. has been all about the hot pink this spring. This pretty pink tulle was left from her daughter's wedding last month.

Lanie is taking a trip down memory lane in this cute poodle skirt brought by C.T. With shades to match!

Lanie will then blast forward to the 80's in this jean skirt, vest and retro shirt by M.O. The multi colored buttons add a great colorful touch.

Lanie will obviously be a Mizzou fan in this warm and comfy fur coat. Just the right colors for those fall football games.

Next she is ready for school in this smocked basic yoke dress by M.B.

Every llittle girl loves purple! In this dress by R.S. she is sure to look lovely.

After all of the dancing and fun she will be cozy in this beautiful soft nighty by R.S.

Members also brought non doll pieces to share.

R.S. finished her Maggie dress from our workshop with Trisha Smith. She designed and added the puff pockets as well. So cute. Great job. Anyone else finish their class projects from the spring workshop?

R.S. also made this sweet sundress and diaper cover for her granddaughter. Very light and airy. Perfect for a summer baby.

D.B.'s season of christenings was finished off with this gorgeous romper. Made from silk dupioni and smocked with a plate featured in a past issue of SAGANews. So elegant for a young man to wear for his christening.

M.B. brought the dress made for her new granddaughter as a coming home ensemble. Pink for a new baby girl.

S.C. brought this ingenious toddler bib made for her grandson. What toddler doesn't need to be ready for the"office"?

As always our members are incredibly generous, so a beautiful array of Wee Care gowns were brought this month.

L.G. stitched these sweet gowns from the Grady gown pattern. Love that rick rack trim on the sleeve.

Twins are often cared for in the NICU at Cardinal Glennon Hospital. R.S. stitched this set of twin boys gowns using the Ginger Snaps Daygown Book IV pattern,

she also stitched a boy/girl set, again using the Ginger Snaps daygown.

We had a great turn out for the salad supper, but we were so busy taking pictures of the fun doll clothes, no one took pictures of those that attended or the food. Oh well, we will try to do better next month.
